Dear Albertans:
On February 13, 2012, the Minister of Health and Wellness, Fred Horne, announced cuts to community pharmacy funding.
We want Albertans to know that these savings are coming solely at the expense of community pharmacy.
Community pharmacies, especially in smaller centres in rural Alberta, cannot sustain the funding cuts that have been announced by the Minister. We believe these cuts will result in Albertans receiving less accessible health care and could jeopardize the health of Albertans.
We are asking all Albertans to let their elected officials know that they are concerned about their community pharmacist and that they want these officials to ensure that pharmacist services will continue to be as accessible to Albertans as they are today.
